The top 20 states as far as income are Maryland, New Jersey, Connecticut, Alaska, Hawaii, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Virginia and District of Columbia. Other states are California, Delaware, Washington, Minnesota, Colorado, Utah, New York, Rhode Island, Illinois, Nevada, Wyoming and Vermont. Almost every state listed in the answer above is also top on the list of most expensive states to live in which means youll make top salary or wages but youll also pay top dollar for everything you buy. So it all evens out.
