How do I find out the value of and go about selling 8 place settings of a discontinued Royal Doulton china? The Pattern is "Burgandy"?

the place settings are in their original packaging and there are a couple of serving pieces, oval small platter and oval vegetable bowl.

ehow has a pretty good article on the topic. Basically you should photograph your china and contact a company like Replacements LTD who will asses your goods and make an offer on some or all of the pieces. If you like their price go with them, and if not, try eBay -- discontinued china is big business and you should not have too hard a time.

I searched for your china on Replacements.com and they have a fair amount. Check out their prices so you have a sense of how good the offer they make to buy your pieces is.

I agree with hopeopolis, replacement Ltd, Ebay, current and past sales of Royal Doulton, "Burgundy", would be a good place to start looking for the value. Also worthpoint.com, Ardvark Antiques is showing at set listed at $395(used). Chinalane.com is another great resource for Royal Doulton, Burgundy china values and current selling prices. Good Luck !
