Before there were computers, people used a "card catalog" to find books in the library. Modern libraries use computer databases to make it easier to find books and transfer them between branches, and they also offer electronic resources (digitized books and articles).

one of the major disparity between these libraries is that for one to access the resources in the traditional library one will have to visit the library building but for the digital library, access can be gained any where as far as you have access to the internet.
