What is the difference between precise and accurate?
Accuracy is a measure of how closely the results of an experiment agree with a true or accepted value. Precision is a measure of the reliability of the experiment, or how reproducible an experiment is. See www.worsleyschool.net/science/files/precision/andaccuracy.html for details.
Accurate means close to while precise is dead on or exact
Precisely Pertains to one incident. Accurate is accumulative. Bingo is both.
Accuracy is how closely a range of measurements agree to the accepted value. Precision is how closely a range of measurements agree with one another. It is possible for measurements to have a high degree of precision and a low degree of accuracy.
Don't tell me this is for chemistry.... I got this question wrong on the stupid final lol. I still don't know the answer..
