I have lice what do I do

Report as

Have someone go and get some headlice treatment from a pharmacy or general store. Don't go yourself if you don't have to, keep it at home until it's treated.

Thank you and is headlice dangerous sorry im shaking because im so scared

Just calm yourself down. Headlice is not good by any means b/c it's a parasite, but you're not going to be hurt by it. Don't worry, as long as you treat it you'll be fine. I'll get more info to put your mind at rest in just a min, but for now... stop shaking :)

Here ya go... You can read more about them if you want, but what should set your mind at rest is this one snipit from the article... "except for rare secondary infections that result from scratching at bites, head lice are harmless, and have been regarded by some as essentially a cosmetic rather than a medical problem"

Go to like CVS and buy lice killer/ lice remover spray, for your bed and pillows, get one for your hair too, also buy lice remover/ killer shampoo, and one of those special combs that take them out!

I had lice too at one point.

What we did was we used the lice shampoo once or twice, but what really got them was we used a mixture of veggie oil and rubbing alcohol (Or vinegar works too) and dipped the nit comb in it, and treated our entire head of hair that way with the knit comb, and then showered after without using the lice stuff.

Put your pillows and stuff that cannot be washed into the dryer for cleaning, don't continue to use the same pillow without treatment! Wash sheets and other articles of cloth.

You don't have to avoid people necessarily, but keep your head away from fabrics and other peoples heads.

I suggest you use lice killing spray on your bed before you reapply sheets each day, as lice on the bed will stay on the bed if you don't.

Also, clean your floor with lice killing stuff- it's in a powder form, you dump it on and leave it for 24 hours without stepping on it (I put newspaper down so I could walk) and then vaccum it up.

Tell your friends and family about this, too. If they have given it to you, or if you gave it to them, you want them to know, otherwise it'll just keep coming back to you!

Get NIX. Do not get any other brand, trying to save a few cents. NIX kills the live lice and the eggs. After you shampoo with it, you will need someone's help to comb out all the nits.

Put mayo in your hair and cover it with plastic wrap over night. It suffocates them.
