In a salad were clusters of little (the size of grape seeds) green balls with white dots. They popped when chewed. What are they?

I think the green ball cluster is from eggplants, which are native to Asia. They come in variety of sizes, colors and shapes. They grow in clusters and they are mainly used for raw salads. For more details, visit http://www.asianonlinerecipes.com/glossary/e.php.
