if a plane makes an emergency landing on water ; does it make a difference if it lands in the ocean or river ?

yeah but ocean is rough and could have large waves ,the river is calm .

An ocean is wider and easier to get lost in, it is also a lot deeper.

If it was a river it has to be huge and in an ocean maybe 500ft from shore but it has to slow way down and come at an angle or it would rip up
