How long does an ignition coil last before it goes bad?
Yesterday the check engine light went on in my wifes Santa Fe. We bring it in to get repaired and the mechanic says its the ignition coil. Now heres the problem, back in March of this year, the check engine light went on, so we bring it in and the mechanic says its the ignition coil. He replaces it, we get the car back and everything is fine. Here we are, July 25th, and we're replacing the same part. My wife doesn't even do any heavy driving. Normal driving from home to work and back again, which is about 10 miles. Is this normal for the ignition coil to go bad so quickly?
