The SpanishFree app is awesome!!! Rosetta Stone is oK, but sort of dull..go take a class with some friends, that is usually the best and most fun. Good luck!

I have found the best way is to label things in your house until you understand a lot of small words that you can use everyday and then learn structure

Also if you don't want to pay for Rosetta Stone, try buying flash cards (for basic, beginning Spanish) from a Wal-Mart or teachers aide store...

it is not that easy to learn it. but if you are really interested then you could buy a book where translations are available, it is actually a step by step process of learning , since a single letter in Spanish is very important for a sentence. :)
