To break it down --- your cells need glucose to help your body do what it needs to do -- glucose gets into the cells when insulin ( which is like a key) opens the cell up
To take in the glucose. People with diabetes either don't make insulin so the glucose doesn't get into the cell or it does not make enough insulin to open
The cell up
To get glucose. When the cells don't get the energy it needs they don't work as well as they should. In addition the energy ( glucose) that should be inside the cell is flaring around the bloodstream causing havoc. --- hope that helps

Diabetes is when you have to watch your blood sugar. when people eat too many sweets or too much salf they get diabetes. they have to prick their finger everyday and calculate the sugar on everything they eat. :((

the main reason that causes diabetes is eating too much and not drinking enough water which can cause you to have a bad system. signs of diabetes are drinking a lot of water (such as more than 80 oz. a day.) once you have diabetes you are likely to take a shot in your stomach or leg every time after you eat and there are 3 types I'm sure type 1 is most common. I hope I helped.

I now have diabetes type 2. Diabetes is basically too much sugar in your blood - many reasons. One of the contributing factors I was guilty of was a lifetime of poor diet. Always too busy to eat right and getting fast food. A box of donuts was lunch and supper. Your body will only put up with it for so long.
