How to start a conversation with a girl I really like

I prob already mentioned this already but I really want to talk to her but can't gain enough nerve to say something don't wanna sound cocky or nerdy

Im a girl so I would say something about what she likes or talk about some activities she likes or ask her maybe what she is doing today.

Ask her about something like u both do? Like did u see the game or if u are at school do u know wht the homework was? Simple stuff

Don't try to start a conversation, just start out with a simple "Hello" in passing, then the next time a "How ya doin'?" again IN PASSING, aka as you're walking past her. Chicks dig confidence, you have to keep it short at first, you'll seem confident and at the same time you'll be gaining actual confidence. Next time stop for a few seconds and let her answer you back, each time stay a little bit longer. Pretty soon you'll be standing there talking for minutes.

It's boils down to Self Worth!!! How do you feel about yourself? Are you a good person? If so, it shouldn't be a issue with you talking to anyone. Just start the conversation by saying Hello! It's just that simple!! If she doesn't respond to someone being nice to her then maybe SHE is not worth YOUR time. Always Believe in yourself!!!! Good Luck!
