How can I trademark something and does it cost money?

Report as

To trademark something, you are first required to identify your goods or services with a strong well designed art work. You can use fancy names on your trademark to make it unique. There are charges placed for this process but they depend on the kind of business you engage in. check out http://www.ehow.com/search.html?s=+trademark+charges&skin=corporate&t=all and http://www.ehow.com/how_5130488_trademark-something.html for more of these details.

You don't HAVE to get a lawyer ... you CAN do it yourself.
It will still cost money - and cost you a ton of research and time, which is why there are lawyers specializing in it.

A trademark is an official registration with the government. It requires proving that your mark is unique and does not resemble existing marks. This requires quite a bit of research, so it's wise to hire a lawyer trained in this field, otherwise you'll spend lots of time and probably get rejected anyway for some technicality.
