I have a thick white band across my big toenail. I've looked online and I'm not finding really detailed solutions or causes. Any advice?

You should have your big toenail examined by a podiatrist. Then, after the examination you will get to know the proper treatment that is needed to get rid of the white band across your toenail.

Not going to happen any time soon. I already have to take 2 buses to get to the doctor's office and that's $4 right there just for the transport there and back. I don't like having to see that guy because the last time I saw him for a foot issue he told me I needed to start getting pedicures. Hello, not everyone can afford those every single month. I get most of my medical stuff covered including visits but I can't get a pedicure covered.

Its a calcium spot I believe I used to get those when I didnt drink milk so I started taking supplements and they went away.

Odd. I love milk and I not only drink milk but I also like to have some cheese every now and then either with a sandwich or on a burger.

It's across the bottom part of my toenail and it's the only nail that has a band. I guess I'll see what happens after it grows out for a while.

Yeah It happens when your body goes through a dip in calcium. I have a very small one on my thumb ATM but they should grow out if its what I think.
