No! probably 12-15'. Especially if they're going off of the diving platform! The pool for the swimming could be 10' ?? But I'm going to look it up on the Olympic.org website or Wiki

Okay , most of the Olympic contestants are around 6 feet ? So I would say 10 feet deep . And Whoever said 10 feet wide ? What the hell ? Lolol . Its around 20 feet long and 20 feet wide , obviously so they can swim far. it's A CONTEST ! [;

its 50m long and 25m wide and about 10.5 feet deep to you morons who think it is less than 6 feet deep remember that the 6 foot plus swimmers are diving in to the pool if it were 6 feet deep it would be the special olympics because all the swimmers would be paraplegic!!!

Amen to that

No, you mean the Paralympics, for people with physical limitations. Special Olympics is for people who have mental retardation.

Actually professional swimmers know how to properly dive into a shallow pool. It also depends on the type of dive -- most of the racing events use shallow entry dives. Olympic pools can vary in depth as long as they are at least 2 meters deep (approx. 6 feet, 7 inches)
Report as
There is another pool for the diving events that is probably around 15 feet deep - don't forget the 10 meter platform diving. Actually Ryan Lochte used the diving pool to warm down after his 200 meter backstroke final.

Ok are you people serious??? READ the specs on the London Olympic Aquatic Center.... the pool floor is able to be moved up or down deepening or shallowing the pool depending on the event. 6ft is the min. that a property can claim they have an "Olympic" size pool

This summer's Olympic swimming events will take place at the newly built London Aquatics Center, which houses a specially designed "fast pool." The pool's gutters, lane markers and proportions are all engineered to minimize water turbulence. The pool's depth is adjustable and for the Olympics, it'll be set to 3 meters (about 10 feet), which is enough to dissipate the downward waves created by swimmers' kicks before the waves hit the pool's bottom.
