Don't know if I had chicken pox. Over 65. Shingles shot needed?
A shingles shot is needed. It is a good idea to get the shot if you have never since you will have half a chance of getting it as compared to those who aren't vaccinated. Read more at http://www.webmd.com/vaccines/features/shingles-vaccine-for-adults.
Definitely! Shingles is miserable & treatment/relief limited
Probably a good idea. Back then, there were no immunizations for chicken pox. Most likely you had it.
Yes it is. If you don't have the chicken pox then you should know that, 3 out of 4 people who hasn't had the chicken pox shot will get shingles. Sorry...
I also never had chicken pox and just got my shot on Friday for shingles. Arm is sore but since I could get shingles it's better to be safe then sorry so get the shot.
Don't forget ur pneumonia shot too;)
Just remember, even though you get the shingles shot, this will not keep you from getting the shingles, it only cuts down the time frame in which they last.I've had them twice this year, both break outs lasted about 2 weeks or just a little longer.
