All the above meds are great. Especially the first one. I've suffered really bad with acid reflux and it's horrible. The best advice I can give you from experience is to lose weight if you need to. I lost 15 lbs and it's gone! Also don't eat 3 hours before bed, avoid fatty/spicy foods (so anything good lol) and elevate the head of your bed so your not laying flat. Good luck
You can use over the counter Prilosec. It helps reduce acid reflux and it's the only OTC that will heal and not just a quick fix. You have to use it a few days to get it in your system. For a quick fix you can use Zantac or alka seltzer. Be careful with the foods you eat as well. Your diet has alot to do with the acid content in your stomach. Hope this helps.
If you dont want to run to medicine first, try to figure out if there is a pattern for when you get it...if a certain food is causing it. (sometimes spicy foods are big culprits) Eat more food to balance out the acidy foods... Breads, rice, pasta, milk. Milk is good even to relieve it instantly. Drink it slowly. And I've also heard that papaya helps too.
