Do for the very low income who can not work because of a SEVERE medical or MENTAL illness. What do you

think he will follow through with?

He believes in a safety net for these people as most conservatives do.

When I was about 10 I heard my dad and our neighbor arguing about something political. I don't remember the specifics but neighbor was blaming "bald headed Ike" as he called president Eisenhower ,for all of our problems. My dad said " is he to blame for the bad weather we are having?" The neighbor said "Yes". I swear that actually happened , and I'm sure he was serious.
I'm not sure you and I aren't just like that. I mean all liberals and conservatives just cannot understand how anybody could be so darn stupid to not believe as they do.

Actually celeb. My favorite politician is the one who doesn't run for office! I am an unaffiliated voter who liked reagan, preferred John McCain to bush, despised bush and Cheney, was embarrassed by carter ( down here everyone said, well there is finally a southern president, too bad it couldn't be a smart one)
Ford, so-so
Liked Nixon.
Is Obama my guy no matter what? No, I actually preferred huntsman but we have what we have and quite frankly mitt scares me. He was a slightly liberal gov of mass, thought that the healthcare mandate was a good thing, didn't want to mess with a woman's right to choose. Of course his aides say he was also highly secretive, did not like to make time for anyone, was almost royal acting. This bears no resemblance to the man I see now.
I think Obama means well and he seriously thought he could get Washington to stop with the game playing and act like grownups just because he asked for it. I think he has learned a tough lesson and will be a better president for learning it.
I tend to jump to his defense A) because he is trying and B) I get so very tired of the petty vicious innuendoes.
I always keep in mind that those who are smart enough to be president are too smart to run.

My favorite politician is the one who chooses NOT to run.
Kind of goes along with politician bashing.

Do we need something for these problems that we don't have already in place?
Doesnt Social Security Disability provide payments to these people?
