What is the best way to be safe about buying on craigslist?

Usually, if you want to get the goods, you're going to have to go to someone's house. If you can, bring a friend (preferably, a strong one), and if you can't, then call a friend before you go to the person's house to let them know where you are and what you are doing. Try to spend as little time as possible inside someone else's home.

To be safe about buying on Craigslist, never go to the seller's home or have him come to your home. Always meet the seller in a public place, like a shopping mall, Walmart, anywhere that will have a bunch of people around. Always pay the seller in cash, and never pay a deposit to hold the item.
