A Christian is not to judge but to correct, in love, what the bible says about homosexuality. If you are a bible believing Christian, meaning every word of the bible being truth, then you know That to God it is an abomination. You would teach truth, guide to scripture, pray for them, and love them, not sin. Also, the bible teaches that love is not just a feeling, it is a choice. God is love.

I'd say if you're TRULY a christian, it would seem wrong to support gay marriage, yes.
Because that would go against the Bible. and if you do that, you go against the entire Bible, which is against God. So it would seem.
Well christians are against gay marriage
And the reason for marriage is so that a couple can have kids together meaning in basic terms boy parts were made for girl parts so theres really no point in gays marrying each other
Supporting gay marriage is wrong. I'm not just saying that. GOD SAID that gay marriage is wrong. He even called it an abomination. I can't answer concerning your salvation and relationship with Jesus. I think you need to reexamine yourself & what your convictions are. Either stand with Christ or don't take a stand at all.
God is love, but He has His commandments & standards. Don't go against God & say that you are a Christian, lesr you become a liar and a hypocrite.
Look, I love the people, but I abhor the sin! I am a child of the Living God; so, homosexuality is repulsive to me. God loves all the people too, but He also doesn't condone/allow homosexuality. It's wrong. And if you're a Christian, you shouldn't condone any sin either, whether it be lying, stealing, adultery, homosexuality,or any other sin.
It's even worse to judge or condemn anyone who's lifestyle is different than yours.
Really it shouldn't matter if people are gay, they're happy. Wouldn't God want them to be happy?
For example you lie to someone to aviod being in trouble it wasnt right but it made you happy to not be in trouble
It is not wrong to support gay marriage! And you are still a true Christian if you support them. I'm Christian and support gay marriage 100%, but that doesn't mean I'm going to hell. What's wrong is to judge the gay community, because only God is supposed to be able to judge people.

All sin is offensive to God. Homosexuality is just one of the many things listed in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 that will keep a person from the kingdom of God. According to the Bible, God's forgiveness is just as available to a homosexual as it is to an adulterer, idol worshipper, murderer, thief, etc. God also promises the strength for victory over sin, including homosexuality, to all those who will believe in Jesus Christ for their salvation (1 Corinthians 6:11; 2 Corinthians 5:17; Philippians 4:13).
You know it's bad enough when atheists and Christians bash each other on this site, but it's even worse when one Christian bashes another.

Yes, because in the Bible, it clearly says that it's wrong. Supporting homosexuality is like supporting death, or adultery. Sin is sin, and homosexuality is one of them.

Let him who is without sin throw the first stone. Although the story was a late addition to the Bible, it still speaks truth. Jesus did not come to praise the righteousness of the religious elite. Rather, he focused on the marginalized and showed that there was more to life than legalistic rules. Regardless if the act is right or wrong, by placing homosexuals in an "other than us" category, we fail to be Christians.

It's a sin, but rather than focusing on that why not bring them to god and let god work in them? The last thing you want to do is give them the impression their sins are not forgivable, god loves them, and only he can remold them into perfection.

Gay marriage is against what Christians should believe. God created Marriage for procreation and nothing in same sex marriage can produce the blessedness of life. God blessed sex in marriage between men and women and He has spoken against it throughout His Holy Word.it is a Holy State that should not be altered! Because God says it, not me but the God I serve and want to obey. The world accepts everything taboo I am different from the world not judging or condemning, rules are rules some things are unnatural in all it's actions and cannot meet the level of true enjoyment,& if you believe God then you believe all of Him or none of Him, why alter or debate His intentions when marriage was created?

We're to love the person and hate the sin. To actually support gay marriage would cause us to sin. That is where the christian can't go. God loves us all and is here to help us all whatever our problem may be, be it this issue or otherwise. We do have to stand for what we believe as the Bible states. It doesn't mean we don't care about the person. They may be a family member or friend. But, are not to support the gay marriage, no.

Yes, I know what God's word is concerning homosexuality. God loves the person but hates the sin. My answer was incomplete as that statement should have been put in and probably a few more as well. So I didn't put my best foot forward on this question. I understand that. What I have a problem with is the rude remarks I received from one particular person after my question. As Christians we are to be kind, not judgmental. Read the comments by "J" to me, especially in the end. Your comments are kind and his are judgemental and disrespectful. That is what is so disturbing to me. You know as Christians we need to be firm in our belief, but we also need to be kind to all others. Thankyou for the love. That is what brought the tears to my eyes and the lump in my throat. You my sisters are so dear and special to me.
The Bible KJV says in Deuteronomy and Romans...homosexuality is a gross sin.. people have decided to ignore the scriptures and make homosexuality ok, no man can change God's written word to favorite your sinning. It's not about support or judgment... it's about what GOD said in his word the Bible. In Genesis, God created woman, for man.. God's words. Man will either obey or not, we are made with free will. Our choice or choices does change God's word. We are free to support whomever he choose.. Engaging in Homosexuality doesn't keep of from loving the person. We are to love our neighbors...

No. Do not use literal readings of our Holy Book, written not by Jesus himself but by his very much human companions, then edited over the centuries by human hands, to guide your thoughts. Use your reason, your wisdom. Have these homosexuals hurt you? Have they persecuted you? Have you cause to hate them, beyond the words of a pastor who probably believes you are inferior to him because you are a woman? If not, and even if so, do not continue the legacy of hate. Be a true Christian, and fight for the weak, the oppressed, and the discriminated, as we likely wished others would've done for us when our martyrs died in the Colosseum.
