What does one have to do to become a substitute teacher?

Ok so I want to become a ESL teacher but first I would like to be a substitute teacher? What do I have to do to become a subtitute teacher? What are the requirements? I live in connectticut if that helps...

Depends on where you live. Here in my part of Texas you need to have a high school diploma and pass a criminal background check. When I lived in California I was told a college degree was required. Good luck!

Usually you need a degree - BA or BS at least.
