What can do about my moms reckless driving?

Shes getting old and Im a teen and this has happened three times just today when we were coming from a resturant my mother was turning then this guy sped up and almost hit us. And another simler situation happened to us a few days ago. And then she almost hit the sidewalk another time. I hate thinking she cant take care of herself. What should I do? Im scared to go anywhere with her....

If she was 'turning' and 'the other sped up' and almost hit you .. THAT was not HER fault. That was HIS fault. There are many idiot drivers out there .. Even the most conscientious driver can still get in to an accident .. it happens. That is not the same as 'reckless'...not exactly anyways. Unless she is over 50 I wouldn't consider her 'old age' to be a factor.

She may occasionally get distracted, and have near misses .. that also happens to everyone who drives .. nothing unusual. The point is to concentrate on paying attention, be alert of your surroundings .. alway expect some idiot to make an idiotic maneuver and DON'T EVER TALK OR TEXT ON THE PHONE while driving!

There are defensive driving courses .. Perhaps you should both take it .. It would be good for anyone .. beginners and experienced.

I cant. My moms mad at me about something and she says I cant get my learners premit

You shouldnt tell her "you cant drive" or something like that, you should bring it up in a way that she wont be offended. Maybe say "you know my moms friend always slows down on this road she says its always packed with police" or "i heard there was an accident here last year it was really bad why dont we slow down" hope it helps! :)

Do you have sisters or brothers??? Maybe your mom has something going on that has impaired her judgement like medicines or something else.

You need to talk to her DR. maybe he can restrict her from driving before she hurts herself or someone else GOD forbid. If your old enough you might wanna study to apply for your Driver licensce.
