Why do comic book stores seem to only carry DC or Marvel comics? Never any horror or other types of comics or publishers.

i think the comics code authority is still in effect

the one i used to go to i think sold Spawn comics by Image.

I've only been to a couple of comic book stores and they had mostly marvel and dc but but they had a lot else too. I would search online for different gaming or comic book stores in your area. Flea markets and auctions are good too. I actually have quite a few kind of obscure comics I'm trying to get off my hands...what are you looking for in particular?
