In full metal alchemist, why did the furhur give ed the name "full metal" when he is only partially metal?

because, he and his brother travel together and his brother is in a suit of armor, and two because he specializes in metal transmutation, lmuch like Mustang specializes in fire transmutation.

Because it sounded cooler than half-metal or two-of-his-limbs-are-made-of-metal alchemist. Do you watch FMA or FMA: brotherhood?
