Is milk bad for cats?

I read on the Internet that milk is bad for cats ( exept their mothers) and I left a glass of milk on my desk and my cat drank out of it.. Is she going to be ok???

It's not really bad for them it just gives them bowl problems.

They say that many adult cats are lactose-intolerant, and have problems digesting it. However, If she's not throwing up or having diarrhea, she's probably okay with it. I use to give my cats milk when I little. I would even get in the floor and, drink my own bowl.. lol

They can drink it but not alot. My cats used to drink milk but used to throw it up later in the day.

It's ok for cats to drink milk.. Where ever you read that it's bad for them to drink milk either you need to slowly re read it or the website is wrong !

Milk is not "bad" for cats, but it isn't the best option for them. For drinking purposes, water is the best. But if you happen to let your cat have a little (like a tablespoon or two) milk or melted ice cream as a treat once every month, it probably will not harm it - unless it is lactose intolerant or vomits like the others have said.

They do not digest milk enzymes properly. You can buy milk just for cats at any pet store.
