Can someone please help.... I'm having religion problems?

Ok...So... I am asking for you guys on ask.com for some help. I would like to know what religion my beliefs would go under... ok...
I believe:
There is only one Lord
Jesus died on the cross for our sins
I am very Spiritual
There are different realms
Witch, Vampires, Werewolves, Ghost, ect.
This is kind of the confusing part:
There are Gods and Goddesses that represent the elements... And when we pray those prayers turn into energy and we can us that energy in positive ways.. Ok so that pretty much it... Is there anyone that can categorise this... I'm thinking Christen Pagan but i dont know so... HELP!!!

The business about witches and the spaghetti one of your answerees referred to is what you should get away from. Jesus is in fact whom died for the salvation of your soul. Salvation? This means to be "saved." Saved? You ask. Yes, saved. And that from the sort of confusion and quagmire you admit to be in. You are also enlightened, and thereby "saved/rescued/delivered" from ignorance that puts itself out as some special guiding force or source of intelligence agent. Jesus and His mission of Salvation has nothing to do with feelings of lostness or confusion. Read scripture/the Bible (Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth) an acronym I like to make out of the word BIBLE. Take it from there and pray (always in the name of Jesus) and the third person of the Holy Trinity (the HOLY SPIRIT) will clear things up for you, Proverbs 3:4-6

Very confusing, might I say :) I am not exactly sure what religion that would categorize under...you are monotheistic, but you believe that there is one Lord? And Jesus died on the cross for our sins? You kind of contradicted one religion from the next. I know that you are partially Christian, it seems, (just to let you know, I don't think that witch, vampires, etc. would really categorize underneath a religion) and something else that I am not quite sure of :) Very interesting, I have never heard of these practices :)
Hope I helped, and good luck :)

James 2:19-20
You say you have faith, for you believe that there is one God. Good for you! Even the demons believe this, and they tremble in terror. 20 How foolish! Can?t you see that faith without good deeds is useless?

I say this with all respect. when you got to the werewolves, witches etc you entered in to a whole other belief. Christians do not belive in the latter part of your description . I think your watching to much TVs. and reading too many vampire books. You need to decide on one or the other. the vampires werewolves thing is fiction.

Their is no such thing as Christian pagan. Read a Bible, test your thoughts with it, and you can make up your mind how confusing your beliefs are. The Bible is the standard by which you compare Christianity to any other thoughts.

You are none of the above .. except for confused maybe. You can think they all exist .. and you can pick and choose how to live your life by using any of the principals they teach .. but does not make you a Christian or a Pagan or any of the others you've mentioned. If you want to be classified or categorized .. then choose one .. or choose none...you still have to choose..but don't try to pass yourself off as any one unless you commit to one..and only one.

It depends. If by "only one Lord" you mean "only one supreme God," then you are a Pagan Christian. If by "only one Lord" you are referring to Jesus and saying other gods/goddesses are not subject to any supreme deity, then you're simply a Pagan who includes Jesus as a deified man.

sound like you have a handful of ritualistic groups tied together. I don't think there's 1 religion to name it. I think you should go to a church, talk to the priest, pastor.

There is no such person as christen pagan; you are one or the other.
Matthew 6:24
No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

Ok well I disagree with anyone who said you are Christian. Christians beleive in only ONE God. That means there aren't other Gods and Godesses to represent seasons, in the Christian Bible it states very clearly God doesn't want you to adress other Gods in his presence, for he is a jealous God and there is only one. In fact the gods and godesses we hear of today, and in the Bible, originated from people carving idols out of wood, And God did NOT like this. I think you are a mix of religons, and you should get your heart set on what you truely beleive :3 Religous support! <3

I've never heard that God is 'jealous' .. I know he has instructed us to hold no other before Him but I never knew He would be capable of such an evil emotion ,,, who knew? Well, THAT changes EVERYTHING.
Report as
It says right in the 10 commandments that he is a jealous God, I may be wrong, I can check :3 Either way, He dislikes us having idols.
Report as
In the 10 commandments ? I don't think so .. THAT is an instruction .. it mentions nothing about jealousy.

Idolitry is about praising an object .. and not God himself. He is not instructing us to not worship idols because it hurts his feelings .. he is trying to keep us from displacing our faith. THAT is not being jealous .. that is being logical.
Report as
magdalene
When God says He is jealous in this way, im meaning, it means He will share His Glory with No other.
Report as
I don't know where it SAYS he is a JEALOUS God? Where does it say that? The 10 commandment do not even mention the word "JEALOUS" .. so if it isn't there .. where is it?

In my Bible it says jealous. Sorry. I agree with magealene, well put.

Bikergirl, I agree with you that it is because He doesn't want us to displace our faith. I think we are all in agreement if I'm not mistaken. It was just the word jealous that we got thrown off. But, the meaning intended, I think we are in agreement.
Report as
What bible version? and what scripture? I'd like to look that up. Please and Thanks

Yes, of course .. in agreement .. I am not arguing .. I am curious.

bikergirl, It's Exodus 20:5. The Bible I had on hand was the King James Version.
Report as
magdalene
bikergirl, I can still remember reading that some years ago. And, for me, when I read it, it kinda shocked me simply because of the word "jealous". It really did. I accepted it, but was shocked at the use of that word. But, I do understand too. It just surprised me how it was worded.
Report as
I am astonished it actually says that: "Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me" .. Given what we know about how we comprehend what the Bible tells us .. hidden means, literal meanings and figurative means ... Do you know what THAT word insinuates???? It means that God himself possesses evil emotions .. THAT just doesn't even make sense. It's not logical after learning what we know about God's qualities of being loving and just...Jealousy is an EVIL emotion. I am exasperated.
Report as
magdalene
He isn't jealous in the sense that we are. We operate on emotion and He spoke to us not to be jealous, as we tend to do that as humans. When I first read this, like I said, it shocked and surprised me and I just said a prayer and left it in God's Hands, as I know He cannot lie. At one point later I realized, He is not jealous in the sense that we do get emotionally. He is Supreme and Will Not Share His Glory With Anyone! is simply how I took it. Somehow, I just got peace with the wording of it. I believe the Holy Spirit just gave me peace to know that He is a Holy God and there is none Beside Him!
Report as
I think he used the word jealous so that we as humans could understand it better,
Report as
magdalene
Emma, That's pretty much what I took it too.

What you claim unfortunately is no religion...
I would term it more like a buffet you like to pick and choose to suit your appetite..
Simply put , you call Jesus your Lord, but by your own admission , He is clearly not. God does not share His Sovereignty with any other God or idol..
So saying Jesus is your Lord unfortunately is quite the opposite .
If you were "submitted" to Him truly as Lord you would've have let go of the other nonsense regarding other Gods and Goddesses ect...
:-/ srry,

1. Anyone who has been baptized "in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit" as Jesus Christ commanded, is a Christian.
2. Anyone who has not been baptized in that way is a Pagan.
3. God the Father; God the Son (Jesus Christ); and God the Holy Spirit, who am one God, in three distinct Divine Persons, having the same substance (nature), are real, and are the only God.
4. There are no gods or goddesses. They were made-up by ancient peoples to help them understand why things were as they were. They exist only in literature (myths - fiction); and in statues, etc. They are not alive and never were.
5. Magic, fortune telling, witchcraft, fairies, ghosts, and the like, are all phony.
I think you are a seeker of knowledge that is true. A little weird, but we're all a little weird. So I say you're a Seeker of the Truth. Jesus Christ is "the Way, the Truth, and the Life.". You can Google where it is in the Bible. I hope this clarified and helped some. Excellent question! I'm glad you asked it! Frank

Ghosts, as in the old TV series - The Ghost & Mrs. Muir - are almost always phony. However, God can, and does, allow dead persons, to appear, in various forms, to living persons, for reasons like teaching them, warning them, asking them to do something for God, etc., but almost never on a continuing basis, like in the TV show. There are only two kinds of spirits at work in our lives: the good spirits (Angels & Saints); and the evil spirits (the Devil and his devils), no others. I hope this clarifies; and helped some. Frank
