Can you get your Kindle Fire fixed without buying a new one?

I bought a third one but I don't wanna spend another $200 on a new when I can get it fixed for less. Usually the USB port gets damaged how to prevent that?

Go to wherever you bought it from and see if they can do anything to fix it
