How old do you have to be to be on the olympics?

My friend is training to be an olympic swimmer! And I just wanted to know because I'm PRETTY sure she's too young, so please help! <3

Actually, for swimming specifically, there is no age limit. As long as you are fast enough.

There is no age limit when it comes to the Olympics. However, some sports in the Olympics have age limits due to their nature. When it comes to gymnastics, you have to be over 16 to participate, but in other sports like swimming, age doesn't matter as long as you are fast.
