Does eating potatoes makes us fat?

I have heard that eating potatoes makes us fat...........
so just asking.

Some self described food experts claim that potatoes have a high glycemic index rating (it has something to do with how fast you digest the sugars), and that such foods tend to promote fat creation.

Not fat -- maybe stocky - like as we are healthy and well feed .-- maybe if their all cooked in lard -- yum --

Potatoes have a lot of starch in them but ...the stuff you put on potatoes is MORE to blame. Gravy on mashed or everything you put on a baked potato. In moderation they are actually a really good food.
