My download speed in utorrent is only 0-3 kbps while with other download managers i get speed of at least 50 kbps.

iam using a connection of 256kbps

If your speed is much higher when downloading from other websites, then the problem is not your connection. The problem is the website you are downloading from and unfortunately, there isn't much you can do about it.

make sure utorrent is configured to upload too. if you turn down your upload speed, it will hamper your download speed. this is to circumvent leeches
