How do you move the front seat manually in a 1986 Lincoln Town Car when switch don't work?

You can't, you have to replace the switch if you need to move the seat.

Under the seat, there should be a motor that allows you to move the seat. There is a cable connecting the motor to the seat track and using a plier's lock the cable next to the seat. Manually move your seat till where you want it. It may take a while.
