Team Fortress 2 will shut off after its done loading.

it comes on to the screen fine but when I try to start a match or tutorial it loads then shuts off, why is that and what can i do to fix it?

There are some reasons that can cause Team Fortress 2 to fail to work , these reasons include: hardware problems, software issues and setting of the games among others.
