Is being a graphic designer a well paying job?

I mean as a whole not just the thought that one man can be rich. i'd just like to know. Is that a good job? Tell me like it is.

I think being a graphic designer you are well paid, but the payment will depend on a number of things. Some of the factors that will affect the payment include; your location, the efforts you put to work, being able to handle complex design projects having the ability to attract attention in the overloaded society and helping clients utilize social media.

i know other jobs have benefits, pension and salery. So as a designer, would i have to work forever. meaning there is no retirement bc id have to always bring in money to cover what else i might need like visits to the doctor and dentist?

Like would i not be covered and would have to buy my own insurance and use my salery for the dentist and doctor?

Yes my friend works for a company as a graphic designer n he makes 16$ an hour
