The two answers, after the first one, are correct. Jesus Christ was one Divine Person, having two complete, separate natures, one divine, which He always had as God, and one human, which He got from His Mother, the Blessed Virgin Mary. He is True God and True Man. He never gave-up or lost either nature. As God, He was always in control. As man, He was able to suffer in every way we do. He willed everything that happened, and happened to Him, always. He freely entered into His Passion, because He loved us more than we can imagine or find words to describe, to redeem us. This is it, in a nutshell. Hope it helps. Good question! Glad you asked it! Frank

Control? He wasn't in control. He begged for his life, he cried loudly with tears (Heb. 5:7), and died in agony and shame hoping for vindication that never came (Heb. 12:2), and eventually realizing what a terrible mistake he made and that God forsook him (Mark 15:34), and finally died disgracefully apart from God (Heb. 2:9).
He wasn't in control. If he's, he wouldn't have gone into hiding in the jungle for the fear of being apprehended, would he? Just read the passion of Socrates, & you would know, how silly Jesus' supposed passion was compared to Socrates!
