You brain doesn't actually freeze... Just the tissue around your forehead

Yes if you drink something cold real fast... It hurts..

As Shelby ^^ says it doesn't truly freeze. What happens is that when you eat or drink something really cold too fast it causes the blood in the area around your mouth and soft palate to cool on its way to your brain. If the blood cools by 1 degree F you get that momentary excruciating pain between the eyes.
