- Study every night before you go to bed. (even when there isn't a test.) - Take lots of notes. - Don't be afraid to ask questions. (no one cares if you ask questions.)
- Don't gossip. - Stay with the right people (nice, understanding people.) - When you go, you will probably want to hang out with people like you, first-second period is a great time to find someone to chat with. - Make friends with the person next to your locker (compliment their shirt, shoes, etc.) - Don't appear like an outcast, if you act like one, you will be one.
- DO YOUR HOMEWORK! that is something i always get stuck with, especially when i do sports. - Get up an hour 1/2 to an hour earlier than your supposed too. (Shower,Clothes, Make sure you have everything.) - Participate in a sport or club. (Easy way to make friends, and get involved.)
wow are you living in California something? their my friends start at that time and really enjoying their life. Just be calm and not to worry about anything but family or friends. don't worry about studying, because you will make it somehow.. and just don't listen to anybody about complex conversation advices, or you just went some out of situations like you changed your dream to prostitute because my friends are doing it and they said its fun... Don't listen to their waggly words
Don't panic. When your looking for your classes don't act scared or lost even if you are. Just keep looking. Most teachers are easy on you your first couple of days when your trying to find your classes. Also, smile! You want to make friends. Highschool is when you find out who your real friends are. Nobody is going to want to walk up and talk to you if you have your arms crossed and don't look friendly. Smile and say hi back. Hello is the first word in a friendship. Have fun! Don't spend your entire 4 years in highschool worrying about all the work . Yes getting good grades is good, but just save time for homework and also save time to experience highschool! Get to know people, go out and have fun! Enjoy this while you can. People grow up a lot faster than you would think and when you look back, you wish you had grown up slower. Enjoy highschool and have fun! :)
Do your best because it counts when it comes to your future. Keep a positive attitude, have fun, participate in the extracirrucular activities like drama, sports, school dances, etc. If you dont get along with a particular teacher try to keep it to yourself and focus on the classwork itself and getting through that semester. Stay out of trouble and away from those who are trouble. Believe in yourself and you will be a better person for it in the long run.
I start the 7th but I still have orientation and stuff I have to go to..... But I watched Kelsey's Declassified Survival Guide to high school.......she explain pretty much all the things you need to know. Hope it helps!!!!
Try out or join sports, clubs or activities. Even if you feel like quiting an activity, you should keep going!! If you do, You will probably regret dropping out of them later in life. I know I do! And try to keep your grades up. Hope this helps(:
