I would think so because when you have arms, you run with your arms moving back and fourth, therefore, it pushes your body forward; increasing speed. Without arms, your body doesn't have that extra force. That's my theory anyway.
Well, When you lose a body part or a body part is not able to function correctly then the opposite of it starts working so much better. But when you use your arms when you run, you use balance and help with momentum.. I love your questions NAFTA.. <3
NAFTA, what is with these running questions?!? I'm startin' to take personal offense over here! Thinking no arms = slower, as arms help with balance when running... and even just walking, but I'll try to get the "real answer" for you at my next P.T. app't.!! :-p
