Chronic pain due to spinal trauma...can you help me understand what all of this means and how severe the problems are...?
My radiological findings- Thoracic Spine:
X-ray- "Minimal convex left curve and an exaggerated mid thoracic kyphosis". "Anterior Wedging of several mid Thoracic vertebral bodies, the most severely affected having lost approximately 35% height anteriorly, consistent with a mild wedge compression fracture".
CT- "Mild Spondylotic changes in the upper Thoracic Spine". "Curvilinear calcification along the capsules of the facet joints in the lower Thoracic Spine, most prominent at the T10/11 level".
"Small Osteophytes noted at T3/4." "Minor degenerative changes are noted at the Intervertebral Discs most prominent at the T3/4 level".
MRI- "There is moderate upper Thoracic Kyphosis". "There is early Disc Degeneration at upper Thoracic levels with a shallow (2mm) right posterolateral Disc Protrusion at T3/4, mildly indenting the right anterior aspect of the thecal sac". "There is early Facet Arthropathy at multiple levels in the upper to mid Thoracic Spine with Osteophytosis and Sclerosis.
Just be honest with me. I'll be turning 27 next Tuesday. Is this all bad news? What do all these things mean? How severe are the problems? Thanks.
