What is the meaning of the Mike and Ike commercials?

like really it's starting to creep me out!!!

It's saying they broke up because Ike went off somewhere and Mike got stuck making all the candy but I think that's just to sell more candy

It is just a business ploy. Trying to sell more candy and they say that "Mike" is producing music now. Might be trying to sell music as well. :/

it's the new heartthrob their bromance inspired me idk what i'll do with my life now i don't care if their trying to make money i'll give them all my money for them to get back together again.:,(

its those things that say they'll never get together again but they definetly will start making mike and ikes again. they still do but either mike or ike is crossed out
