Recurring mouth ulcers ...could it be something serious ?

My mouth ulcers started about 6 months back...
Every now and then one appears at a random location in my mouth...gums,tongue,under the tongue, roof and sides...everywhere...sometimes more than 1 at a time...they take approx a week to heal ...while im applying an ulcer gel (Smyle or Orasore are what I use)...

They just keep coming on and off ...It is a week of pain after a week or comfort...every alternate week...

PS- Im also taking some vitamin tablet( mostly b-complex and vitmin c)
(Its called "A to Z ns" ..)
What to do ?
could it be something serious ?

Hi laudalele have you noticed if you are eating something that could be causing it. There are people I know that can't eat oranges, lemons or tomatoes because of the acid in them causing sores in their mouths. Maybe keep a food journal for a couple of weeks and see if it is something you are eating a day or two before the ulcer shows up that could be causing it?

Recurrent mouth ulcers are triggered by some foods, hormonal changes and medical conditions. You should try and avoid chocolate, tomatoes, cheese and coffee. However, you can see a doctor to give you the antimicrobial mouthwash.

I know how you feel! I get them all the time and if you're talking about what I think you're talking about you have canker sores. My dad gets them too and he got some pills for them and I have pills too. The pills get rid of them in about 1 to 2 days. Consult your doctor if you feel like you need pills too. Good luck
