Why do i have to sigh the draft when i'm 18?

i dont want to join the military

Don't worry. You are not joining the military or being drafted. You will be simply registering with Selective Service. If you don't, you won't get any kind of financial aid.
We have an all volunteer service. There is no need for a draft and it would be political suicide for anyone who votes for it.

You don't have to join the military, you register for the draft in case of a major war in which case you'll be drafted. It's your duty as a citizen.

its just something you do at that age. my son did too..and he hasn't been drafted yet so i wouldn't worry about it...unless you DONT do it...then u got more problems than you'll want.

i know..but you still haVe to sign up for it when you turn 18. we looked into this last year. there is no choice with this.

Its the American Law and you have to or never get a drivers licence .

There is no draft. You sign up for Selective Service. Don't you like the freedom that you have? Would you like to keep it?
