What religion should i study ?

I believe in god and that it's a heaven&hell and reincarnation I think it's good to meditate 3 times a day and get baptized idk what religion I should study to be a chaplain somebody help me I'm really thinking about baptist

If baptism is important then you would be leaning toward Christianity and more specifically Lutheranism and Baptist. Meditation can be done in any form of religion, but some require it more. An almighty God is also Christianity, as is heaven and hell. Reincarnation is more of Buddhism. Reincarnation and heaven/hell are pretty much opposite. How can you go to heaven if you got reincarnated?

If you really want a soul searching that would be the one for you? I suggest studying ALL religion. I say that because there MUST be some reason why people follow their particular religion. Though? To understand completely EACH AND EVERY aspect of each religion would be quite an IMPOSSIBLE task. You follow your heart. Open your mind to everything. Be it good or bad. DO NOT EVER CLOSE YOUR MIND to the possibility and reality of this world. People have made ALL the religions in the world. Keep it in mind. Also keep in mind that people have done many GREAT things. Many DESTRUCTIVE things as well. This is the confusing part. Now just enjoy life and be a good person. That's my motto.

Christians do not believe in reincarnation.
And religions that DO believe in reincarnation, don't believe in Heaven/Hell ... nor do they believe in an allpowerful God.
The 2 beliefs are mutually exclusive.

But yeah ... I would go with "study them all".
You can be a "spiritual advisor" ... after all, government can't require any type of certification to be an "official" spiritual leader.

Study Islam. It's a great religion.
Or just pray to God to show you the right path and study all religions. You will eventually realize Islam is the truth.

What all Islam believe in ?
Report as
There are five main pillars of Islam.
Shahada- Belief that there is only one God and Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him) is His last messenger. God has no partners, children, etc. He is alone in His greatness. (Jesus isn?t God?s son. He is also a prophet.) You also have to believe in all the prophets and holy books. But the holy books have all been changed and are not the accurate ones, except the Qur?an. Muslims (followers of Islam) follow the Qur?an, the last and final book. You also have to believe in the angels, heaven, hell, life after death, etc.
Salah- You have to pray five times a day. You can pray as many times as you want, but there are five main prayers that are compulsory on all Muslims who have reached puberty.
Report as
Fasting- In the Holy month of Ramadan, you are supposed to fast for 30 days, each day from sunrise to sunset. (Btw, it?s Ramadan right now.) All those who have reached puberty and are capable of fasting, health wise, have to fast. Unless you?re traveling, etc.
Hajj- It?s compulsory on every Muslim to do Hajj at least once in their lifetime, if they have the health and wealth. And Hajj is the pilgrimage to Makkah. It lasts five days then you can come back home.
Zakat- Those who are capable of giving charity, are supposed to give a certain amount of charity every year.
These are the main things.

Probably unitarian. It has the most practical application, given it studies all faiths and how to relate to all of them. I don't know that they offer MDivs though. Probably do.

Study all, as a part of anthropology. Then you'll come to realize how all are products of the human mind, and social order, not divinity. They are all equally false.

Reincarnation won't be compatible with any of the others.
But I agree with adool81.

For me, the fact that Israel and the Jewish people even exist at all is proof that what God says in The Bible is THE TRUTH. (excuse my obvious excitement !)
After the Roman army destroyed their temple in Jerusalem in 70AD, they scattered all the Jews away from their homeland-out into every other nation!
And now almost 2,000 years later-they are back in their land, recognized by the world as a nation, speaking their old original language! That is practically unbelievable, after all the persecution and torture and death that they endured! Yet they are back in the land God promised their fathers in the first book of His Word , just as God said it would !
And the Bible also says God has a wonderful future planned out for them, and my experience tells me that he will make that happen too!
I think you should preach that non-denomination message . It includes everybody. You can teach that the Bible is where God speaks truth. Comments welcomed! Later

Okay thank you the information was very helpful but as I looked into more religions I found my interest in Pentecostal too
Report as
Ok, I know what that is , a church that exercises the gifts of the Spirit . I used to attend a Christian church that believed in the same things. I no longer follow that way, but I respect you following your heart. Um I'm not sure if they have Pentecostal pastors in the service. And I will add, Baptists are not really "gifts" oriented at all. It was just a couple of years ago, the Baptist convention voted yes for It's missionaries to be allowed to "pray in the Spirit" ( if you catch my drift). Anyway, I wish you Godspeed!
