My kids tell me that I can be intimidating. I believe them because they aren't the only ones to say that. I mean I'm a 5'2" tall 59 year old woman. How intimidating can I be? Apparently fairly intimidating.

I've only had one person tell me they were afraid of me and that was my daughter, and that was about 2 years ago. (She's now over 30.) I said, "What?" She said, "Mama, the only time I get scared of you is when you get really quiet. That's when I know you've just HAD IT with whomever. You stop whatever you're doing, clear your throat, and very eerily say, maybe with a pointed finger, "Now Holly, I'm going to tell you something..." Then continued, "Actually, that's when everybody in the house gets scared. It's not like we've ever seen you blow, but it's like it's the calm right before the proverbial tornado hits." LOL Then, continuing, "And I don't know why we're like that because you've never turned into a tornado." I just smiled and said, "Well, we'd probably better keep it that way, honey. You never know."
