How can you get banned for 12 hours?

I didn't get banned, but how could you?

drop a bunch of f bombs and be a total prick. answer a bunch of questions with irrelavant, mean, or smart ass comments.
I got banned cause someone asked "What is east dropping?" and i said "The opposite of west dropping."

Hi Spf_0, the system has limit controls on how many Q's, A's and comments a member can post in a short period time. These limits are in place to help prevent spammers from flooding the site. The "break" period can be anywhere from 15min, 60 min, 12hrs and up to 24hrs.
