How can i convince my parents to let me do online schooling? please help me!

im in 8th grade & i really want to do online schooling. i want to do it for many reasons. i hate the drama & all that stuff but the main reason is, i dont think im being challenged enough. i used to go to a catholic school, i got bullied do much, i transfered to another school. it was a public school. it is noticable that im not learning at the pase a used to, i get no homework at all, i think it is literally impossible to fail, the grading scale is different so it is easier to get A's, its okay if you dont do your homework, & its just to easy. i have noticed, my spelling & grammar completly sucks. i used to be great in english. im not being challenged. i told my mom i dont like the public schools & stuff (my cousin goes to school with me & is leaving to to a catholic high school next year, & my mom think i dont want to go to that school anymore because she wont be in my school anymore, but thats not why) so she said just try hard & you can get through it. because she thinks i want to leave because my cousin is. please help! i need some answers here! i dont want to go to college & not know anything. please help! thank you! (:

Okay, first thing's first when you're trying to convince someone about anything.

Step One: State what exactly you are trying to convince the person. Make a clear statement, "Mom & Dad, I'd really like to do online schooling." Be mature about it! If they give you a weird look or shake their heads, don't freak out and be like, "But why?! You never give me anything I want!" They won't take you seriously and they won't listen to anything else you have to say.

Step Two: Make a list of pros and cons about online schooling. You probably think, "What's the point of making a list?" But really, this will be a tremendous help to you. Example: When you're Mom says something like, "Won't it be a lot harder to learn when you're not being taught in person and on a computer?" Then you'll be able to back that question up with facts! When you're parents see that you cared enough about this to research and find out all you can about it, they may consider letting you do it.

Step Three: Wrap it all up and do a small summary of everything you talked about in step two.

Step Four: Let it sink in, let them sleep on it etc. Let them have a moment or two to consider the possibility of you being online schooled.

I hope this helps you! I'm sorry about all the bad stuff you've been put through! Good Luck convincing them! :)

Good answer Stargirl13 and thumbs up from me! I just have something to add to Stargirl13's answer. How do you feel about home schooling if your parents don't go along with online school?

awww, ok. Thank you for the green thumb! I know how hard school can be, but I loved college. Just be calm when you talk to your parents so they can see your are being mature about your decision and good luck!

Be sure to do the whole pros and cons things. If your parents don't agree with the whole online schooling thing then maybe u should consider switching schools. An online school is always a fine option, however it truly depends on the easiest way for YOU to learn. Not all online schools are built just for YOU. So maybe reconsider giving your private or public school another shot. Also talk to your teachers and principal about how u think its too easy. Maybe they could move you up to a harder class like maybe honors.

I went to a private school for 10 years and thought it was WONDERFUL! Yes the grading system is higher so it is harder to get an A. However that just pushes you that much harder so you will do a good job and succeed in the future as well as now.

Well I hope those helped! STAY STRONG AND GOOD LUCK!
