What Italian soccer player has been to the world cup several times, is around 20 years old, and have a last name with an M?

someone told me about a 20 year old soccer player who has been to the World Cup. I don't remember the name of the soccer player though. I'm pretty sure he's an Italian player. when the person told me about him, he said the last name either started with an m or had one in its name. anyone know what I'm talking about? (Halloween of 2011 was when I was told of this player)

The Italian soccer player who fits your description would be Lionel Messi. He is the one who has been to several World cups and won World Player of the Year nominations. He is described by many people as the best contemporary player in the world.
