I'm getting a debit card soon. I know you have to wait 1 or 2 weeks to receive it but is there a way to order items online while waiting?

From the card even though I won't have it yet.

Well, the card I got gave me a temporary card that just said "Valued Customer" while I was waiting on my official card to come in the mail, and I could make purchases online and in store with it.
All I needed for online purchases was the card number and the little security code on the back.

That's good information to know, laylazer! If I ever change banks, or have to close an account, I can ask for one of those so I don't have to wait for the official card! :-)

Probably not. Most online retailers will ask for the security code on the back of the card so unless you've been given that before hand, you'd have to wait to get the card to know what it is.

No, you'll need the account number, and the security code, you'll just have to wait.
