What's going on with my pregnant cat?

I think her water broke, but my mom said that's it's not amniotic fluid. It's a brown/red. Should we be concerned?

I think your right and baby kitty's are coming your way! Get an old comfortable towel and let her handle it. :)

It sounds like blood old and fresh. You should take her to the vet ASAP.

Sorry never had kittens before so good..... it's normal.

The discharge might just be tainted amniotic fluid or something worse, not ruling out an infection. The only way of ascertaining the gravity of the situation lies in taking the cat to the vet for an examination. Taking into account the gestation period, your cat might just be ready for delivery.

When the kittens are born do not touch them till they are 3 weeks old it is extremely dangerous because the mother with shun them, they will get sick, or you will hurt them because the are fragile!!!! And while the mother is giving birth do not touch her either she will get to stressed!! Trust me my dad is a vet! And my cat gave birth. Ps get your cat spayed after wards!!!
