Contact your local VFW and they can help you. My father always used them to dispose of American flags. They do it properly with great respect.

Burn it ... I know, it sounds crazy, like something a very disrespectful hippie jackazz or a crowd of angry Iranians would do, but that's actually the proper way to do it.

Burn it. I also heard bury it. But I think proper way is burn it.

burn it,remember its not illegal to burn it in general but it is to burn it around anything flammable.

Burn it. Where I grew up we could turn them into our local fire dept and they would burn it for you. They would wait until they had quite a few and burn them together.
