Why did chucks get popular all of sudden?

All of a sudden? They've been popular for years!! Maybe they're coming back into style, but there's nothing sudden about it. I love them!!

All of a sudden? My dad wore Chucks in high school when he played basketball. That was in the 50's, you kids didn't start any kind of trend wearing them.
