How to download IOS 5 to your iPod touch 4 gen?

I am buying an ar.drone 2.0 which I need a app to control but to get the app your are suppose to have IOS 5 software on your iPod touch. Any ideas how to download?

Try to download the ios5 as stand alone(from google it is about 800 mb)when u get the file go to itune click "shift" update,a pup up appears and allow for u to select a file then choose the file that u dowloaded it (ios5) then ok and it will work i tried it and its good

To download IOS 5 to your iPod touch 4 generation, you first need to connect to iTunes and select your device. Then, click on update software and from there, you can download it from Adobe.

i wouldent update your ipod because if it came with the IOS 4 with it than it will run more faster with its version it came out with. if you update that ipod then its going to start running laggy ! if you want ios5 you should go buy the new ipod touch at a nearby walmart , because the new ipods come with ios5 and it dosent lag the ipod. just warning you!

But man my iphone come with os 4 when i update it to 5 it is running with the same speed at least i did not observe slowness!!

oh well thats good! just dont download a bunch of apps into it because it will lagg it haha ! hope you enjoy IOS5 and btw. DONT JAILBREAK YOUR IPHONE. it will crash your iphone! just for you know :) i did it to mine and it crashed lol.

Connect your ipod touck to itunes and press update

yea connect your device to iTunes and press update let it do its magic oh and back it up first so you don't loose any data.
